The United Church of Christ has a vision of a just world for all. In this world all are welcomed, everyone is loved and justice is inherent. 3 Great Loves is our denomination’s opportunity to live out our Love of God and vision of a just world for all and express how our Love of Neighbor, Love of Children, and Love of Creation work together to address the inequities in our current world.
Who Is My Neighbor?
Exploring Issues about Race
The second installation of our “Who Is My Neighbor?” series will focus on race. Beginning Tuesday, February 12, we will participate in the program White Privilege: Let’s Talk – A Resource for Transformational Dialogue. This 4-week program will be an opportunity to explore this topic using the adult curriculum from the United Church of Christ that is designed to invite church members and friends to engage in safe, meaningful, substantive, and bold conversations on race. Engaging in this crucial conversation will deepen our awareness of white privilege and see with new eyes how privilege works, even within communities and persons committed to the work of racial justice. The class will be led by Pastor Santina. There will be materials to read and reflect on in and outside of class, and we will spend good deal of time in conversation. Materials and light refreshments will be provided.
We will meet on four Tuesdays: February 19 & 26 and March 5 & 12 from 6:30-8:00 P.M. Please contact Pastor Santina or the church office to let us know if you will be attending or if you have any questions.
Please note that the start date has been changed from Feb. 12 to Feb. 19

Hope United Church of Christ is a different kind of church,
We welcome all people,
No matter who you are,
Or where you are on life's journey,
You're welcome here.
Hope United Church of Christ is a congregation of people
Who believe that Jesus Christ is our Savior,
and as each member brings a unique, personal,
and individual understanding of what faith means,
it is our responsibility as the Body of Christ,
the Church, to be in harmony with
Christ’s teaching of love for our neighbor.
